Production process of polyketide resin


Raw material preparation: The main raw materials for polyketide resin are carbon monoxide, monomers such as ethylene and propylene, and suitable catalysts are also required. Carbon monoxide is usually produced through coal gasification or other industrial processes, while ethylene and propylene are mostly derived from petroleum cracking. Before being put into production, these raw materials need to undergo strict purification and purification treatment to remove impurities such as sulfides, water, oxygen, etc., as these impurities can affect the activity of catalysts and the performance of polymers.


Co polymerization reaction: Co polymerization reaction is the core step in the production of polyketide resin. In the reaction vessel, pre treated carbon monoxide and monomers such as ethylene and propylene are mixed in a certain proportion and undergo copolymerization reaction under the action of a catalyst. Common catalyst systems include palladium based catalysts, and reaction conditions such as temperature, pressure, and reaction time have a significant impact on the structure and properties of the products. The general reaction temperature is between 50-150 ℃ and the pressure is between 1-10MPa. During the reaction process, monomer molecules gradually connect to form molecular chains of polyketide resin under the action of the catalyst.


Product separation and refining: After the reaction is complete, a mixture containing polyketide resin, unreacted monomers, catalyst, and other by-products is obtained. Firstly, unreacted monomers are separated through methods such as vacuum distillation and recycled back into the reaction system to continue participating in the reaction, in order to improve the utilization rate of raw materials. Then, solvent extraction or precipitation methods are used to separate the polyketide resin from the catalyst and by-products. Refine the separated polyketide resin by washing, drying, and other operations to remove residual impurities and obtain pure polyketide resin products.
