Photosensitive resin and ABS are common materials for 3D printing. A question that novice 3D printing lovers often ask is: which material is better to use than photosensitive resin. The answer lies in recognizing the differences in the characteristics of the two materials, so that they can be used according to the specific situation.

UV curing resin uses a certain band of ultraviolet light to trigger a rapid curing reaction, so that a transparent gloss coating is formed on the surface of the object, which plays the role of beautification and decoration. UV curing resin is widely used, and its advantages and characteristics are as follows.

(1) Safety and environmental protection: UV resin is a solvent-free resin with a solid content of 100%. It is fully transformed into a film after illumination. After the film is formed, it is plump and bright. There is no harmful gas emission in the curing process, which helps to improve the working environment and prevent air pollution.

(2) High production efficiency: it is basically not affected by the severe cold season, and can be cured quickly at room temperature.

(3) Good film forming performance: UV glazing not only has high gloss, flat and smooth film, but also has the properties of heat resistance, water resistance and scratch resistance.

(4) Strong operability: because the traditional curing mechanism of UV glazing is different, it is not limited by the coating time. The coated objects will not solidify without UV irradiation. There is sufficient time to exhaust and remove bubbles. There is a clean and well maintained resin that can be continuously used to reduce waste and save drug cost.

(5) Brush coating, spraying, roller coating, spray coating and other processes can be adopted. The coating can be thick or thin. Products requiring film thickness can be coated several times.
